Teachers are working on curriculum mapping for their subject area. A curriculum map is data driven and captures the content, skills assessments taught or administered. It is organized into an easily accessed visual that presents a timeline of instruction and assessment.
The rationale for curriculum alignment helps prioritize the multitude of standards to be taught and allows for better use of instructional time. It also allows for "seamless" instruction from teacher to teacher.
Flagler Palm Coast High School teachers are targeting several areas to focus on and improve the 2007-08 school year. They are Student Achievement, School Process and Parent/Student and Teacher Perceptions.
